* HISA Privacy Survey

[Print-friendly version]

Privacy is one of the key issues underpinning the successful implementation of ehealth systems. Australia is in the process of a privacy debate, couched within the Australian Law Reform Commission's review of the Privacy Act. You have a chance to directly participate in this debate through HISA's Health Informatics Privacy and Security Group (HIPS). This group will be leading the development of a submission from HISA to the Australian Law Reform Commission as part of the commission's review process.

We have developed the survey in two forms. You can participate in a short 5 minute survey, or if you have a higher level of interest in the privacy debate please complete the more detailed survey which should take around 30 minutes.

For the 5 minute survey go to: http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB225WJGPRMEC

For the 30 minute survey go to: http://www.zoomerang.com/survey.zgi?p=WEB225WJH2RMM3

Both surveys close on Monday December 11.

Your participation in either survey would make an important contribution to helping establish our position on privacy and develop our submission to the Australian Law Reform Commission. After the survey is completed, HISA members can follow and comment on the development of the submission through the hisaservices Issues Foundry at www.hisaservices.org/hips.

Prof Peter Croll established this survey and is leading the submission development. Please contact him for further details.
